You do not require a doctor's referral to visit Rebecca Downes Consulting. However, if your doctor has recommended you visit a dietitian or exercise physiologist, please ensure they provide you with a referral.
Medicare
Rebecca Downes Consulting is a registered Medicare provider. This means that those with a chronic condition being managed by their General Practitioner (GP) under an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan, are eligible for a rebate of $50.95 per visit (up to a total of 5 allied health visits per year). A doctor's referral is required in this circumstance, so please see your GP before making an appointment.
Private Health Funds
Rebates are available for visits to an Accredited Practicing Dietitian or an Accredited Exercise Physiologist through many private health funds. Please contact your health fund for more information.
IMPORTANT: If you are claiming a rebate through your private health fund, you can not claim a rebate through Medicare.
Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA)
Rebecca Downes Consulting is a registered DVA provider. If you have a Gold Card, and the appropriate GP referral, you are entitled to free dietetic and exercise physiology services.

Please note that upfront payment is required at time of consult. Payment may be made by EFTPOS, credit card, cash or cheque. You will receive an itemised receipt to claim any appropriate Medicare of private health fund rebates.
